Eligibility:
You must be accepted to Kennesaw State University and KSU Journey Honors College.
Each scholarship may also have additional eligibility criteria as specified below.
Scholarship amounts may vary annually based on market performance and other factors.

Application:
To apply for Honors scholarships, fill out the KSU Foundation Scholarship Application. The application can be found by clicking here.
Deadline:
The scholarship application opens November 1st – April 1st for the following academic
year. See http://scholarships.kennesaw.edu/ for more information.
Notification:
Recipients of scholarships are typically notified of their awards in early May. All
communication will be sent to the student’s KSU email account. The student email
login can be found at www.kennesaw.edu/myksu.
Renewals:
Students who have been awarded a renewable scholarship must complete the scholarship
application each year.
*KSU Journey Honors College continues to raise funds to provide academic scholarships to as many Honors students as possible. Currently, we are unable to offer every student an academic scholarship. However, we do encourage students to reapply for Honors scholarships every academic year via the online scholarship portal.

President's Emerging Global Scholars Program
Award: $3000
First Year: $1000
Second Year: $1000
Third Year: $1000*PEGS Students also travel internationally twice during the five-semester program. A significant amount of additional scholarship funds are provided for students in the PEGS program.
Eligibility:
- Acceptance into the PEGS cohort and the University Honors Program
- KSU-calculated high school GPA of 3.7 or higher
- SAT score of at least 1220 or an ACT score of at least 25 (with the exception of fall 2021 admits)
- To maintain the scholarship, must be in good standing with the University Honors Program (not on probation) and maintain above a 3.5 GPA
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

Great Books Cohort
Award: $1000
Eligibility:

Acceptance into the Great Books cohort and the University Honors Program

KSU-calculated high school GPA of 3.6 or higher

SAT score of at least 1220 or an ACT score of at least 25 (with the exception of fall 2021 admits)

Fewer than 12 hours of college coursework completed
- To maintain the scholarship, must be in good standing with the University Honors Program (not on probation) and maintain above a 3.25 GPA
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

KSU Journey Honors Scholarship
Award: $2000
- Admission to KSU and KSU Journey Honors College
- KSU-confirmed adjusted GPA of 3.5 or higher
- SAT Score of at least 1220 or an ACT score of at least 25 (with the exception of fall 2021)
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

KSU First Year Honors Scholarship
Award: $500
Eligibility:
- First time student admitted to KSU and KSU Journey Honors College
- High school GPA of at least 3.5
- SAT score of 1220 or higher or an ACT score of at least 25 (with the exception of fall 2021)
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

KSU Honors Owls Scholarship
Award: $1250
First Year: $750
Second Year: $500Eligibility:
- Admission to KSU and KSU Journey Honors College
- KSU-confirmed adjusted GPA of 3.5 or higher
- SAT Score of at least 1220 or an ACT score of at least 25 (with the exception of fall 2021)
- To maintain the scholarship in year two, must be in good standing with the University Honors Program (not on probation) and maintain above a 3.25 GPA
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

Mark and Cathy Adams Endowed Scholarship
Award: $4000
First Year: $1000

Fourth Year: $1000Eligibility:
- Admission to KSU and KSU Journey Honors College
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology
- Demonstrate financial need as determined by the KSU Office of Student Financial Aid
- To maintain the scholarship in years two-four, must be in good standing with the University Honors Program (not on probation) and maintain above a 3.25 GPA
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

Dasher-Spruell Scholarship
The purpose of this merit-based scholarship is to recognize highly motivated, academically talented first-time first-year students enrolled in the University Honors Program at Kennesaw State University. The scholarship is intended to assist with filling the gap between the cost of attendance and funding from Georgia’s scholarship and grant programs. The Dasher-Spruell Presidential Scholarship may be used toward the cost of books, room and board and any other educational expenses, including study abroad.
Additional eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must have an incoming academic high school minimum GPA of 3.7 or better, as determined by KSU
- Applicants must be residents of the state of Georgia
Expectations:
- For the scholarship to be renewable to the same student for a maximum of four years (assuming funds are available), he or she must remain in good standing in the University Honors Program and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale each award year.
- The recipient will serve as ambassador for or representative of the Honors Program and will be expected to participate in at least one Honors College activity or event per semester, as overseen by the Honors College.
- The recipient will participate in at least one student organization (Honors Club, discipline-based Honors society, fraternity/sorority, Center for Student Leadership, student government, or other registered student organization.
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey Honors College

The Dr. Patricia E. Davis Scholarship
This scholarship, intended for English majors enrolled in the University Honors Program, honors Dr. Patricia E. (Liza) Davis, professor of English, who served as director of the Kennesaw State University Honors Program since its inception in 1995 until her retirement in December 2016. The scholarship honors Dr. Davis’ unwavering commitment to her students and her outstanding leadership in growing the Honors program.
This one-year, non-renewable scholarship is intended to support juniors and seniors majoring in English who are in good standing in the University Honors Program; preference will be given to rising seniors entering their final year of study. The award may be used for tuition, fees, room, board, study abroad program fees or any other educational expenses.
Eligibility requirements:
- The recipient must be a declared English major
- The recipient must be a member in good standing of the University Honors Program
- Preference will be given to rising seniors entering their final year of study

Travel Scholarships for Great Books cohort students
Students must apply and be accepted first to the University Honors Program and subsequently
to the Great Books cohort to apply for these travel scholarships. Deadline for Great Books travel scholarships is in October. All members of the Great Books cohort will be notified of the application process.

Barry and Sylvia Hyman Endowed International Education Scholarship
The Barry and Sylvia Hyman Endowed International Education Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. E. Howard Shealy for his years of exceptional service to the study abroad program in Montepulciano, Italy. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to students properly enrolled in the Great Books Honors Program to study abroad in Italy. Recipients are awarded a scholarship to be applied towards the fees associated with their education abroad program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Must have freshman status and be enrolled in the Great Books Honors Program
- Must be enrolled full or part-time
- Must be approved to study abroad in Montepulciano, Italy

Robin Schmidt Shore Endowed Scholarship
The Robin Schmidt Shore Endowed Scholarship will provide financial assistance to freshman students admitted to the Great Books Honors Program to study abroad in Italy. Recipients are awarded a scholarship to be applied towards the fees associated with their education abroad program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Must have freshman status and be enrolled in the Great Books Honors Program
- Must be enrolled full-time
- Must be approved to study abroad in Montepulciano, Italy

The Jean Schade Boos International Study Abroad Scholarship
The Jean Schade Boos International Study Abroad Scholarship will provide financial assistance to freshman students admitted to the Great Books Honors Program to study abroad in Italy. Recipients are awarded a scholarship to be applied towards the fees associated with their education abroad program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Must have freshman status and be enrolled in the Great Books Honors Program
- Must be enrolled full-time
- Must be approved to study abroad in Montepulciano, Italy

The Vince Dooley Honors College International Study Abroad Scholarship
The Vince Dooley Honors College International Study Abroad Scholarship will provide financial assistance to freshman students admitted to the Great Books Honors Program to study abroad in Italy. Recipients are awarded a scholarship to be applied towards the fees associated with their education abroad program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Must have freshman status and be enrolled in the Great Books Honors Program
- Must be enrolled full-time
- Must be approved to study abroad in Montepulciano, Italy
- Financial need as determined by the KSU Office of Student Financial Aid is preferred
